An unease
The stars are flashes of gold and silver, scattered across a deep blue. The sky is so vast that it takes up almost all the space. It is dense and granular, almost material, as if infinity had weight.
Below, there is not really any ground. Only a dark, undefined plane, a space where the gaze no longer knows quite where to rest.
At the centre, a golden tree. Infinitely precious but isolated. Fragile. With roots that plunge down like a final point of anchorage in a world without measure.
And perhaps this is where the gaze comes to a halt. Not out of calm, but because beyond this point, unease turns into vertigo.

An unease
The sky takes up almost all the space. It is very large, full of golden and silver stars.
Below, the ground is dark. You cannot quite see where to place your feet. The world feels vast, a little overwhelming.
In the middle, there is a golden tree. It is alone. Its roots plunge deep into the ground, as if trying to hold on.
This painting describes a moment when we are not really afraid, but something unsettles us. And we stay there all the same.
Sometimes, we do not really know where we are going. So we plant both feet firmly on the ground, we breathe, and we continue.
