1972 - 1990 AWAKENING OF THE MINERAL

The mountain is just suggested by the scratches on the silver canvas. It is a simple square, stable and solid, a symbol of symmetry that reflects the harmony of the world. It comes from the center of the earth, from the inner fire with bright yellow tones and from the glowing red lava that cooled to black. And it rises up to the sky. No other color on this canvas, except for the formidable mineral mass in silver that takes up all the space. But the eye is drawn to the golden glow of the three small figures roped together at the top. It is the awakening of the mineral, the determination of men putting their strength together for a quest that surpasses them.
