Patrimoine en poésie
Quand l'Art devient Poème

A poetic workshop for school classes aged 8 to 12, inspired by the exhibition The Colours of Water

What if art became the starting point of an inner journey?

What if a single image, a shimmer, a reflection could spark a poem in the eyes of a child?

As part of the 10ᵗʰ edition of the national “Heritage in Poetry” competition, the GRATALOUP Museum invites teachers to register their class for a unique experience combining observation, emotion, and creativity.

From September 20 to December 15, 2025, pupils aged 8 to 12 will be welcomed into the museum, located in a former priory in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley. They will explore the current exhibition, The Colours of Water — a poetic dialogue between the large-format photographs of Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the luminous, symbolic paintings of GRATALOUP.

The guided visit is led by Milena, guardian of the artist’s legacy, who gently opens the children’s eyes to the emotional and symbolic depth of the works.

Back in the classroom, students take part in a school poetry and heritage workshop, creating a collective free-verse poem inspired by one of the artworks they have chosen.

🌿 A turnkey activity that combines art appreciation, natural heritage, poetic expression, and collaborative creativity.

📚 A meaningful and imaginative way to begin the school year.

🎒 A sensitive experience to help students see the world differently — through the lens of poetry.
