When the forces of nature rally against humans, the danger’s lightning flashes through the red sky. On the mountain, the colors have disappeared, giving way to the white of 'hopelessness,' the gray and black of obstacles, with some blue patches to evoke the blues and sorrow. The rocks are slashed by a deep black crevice from which the small rope team of men seems to emerge. Despite the fury of the elements, they stick together, planting their ice axes in the rock, determined to forge a path. The summit of the mountain is invisible, and the horizon is uncertain. We can only salute the relevance of this canvas and the artist's foresight in painting an allegory of humanity destined to help each other to survive.
