THE CULTURAL PROJECT
The cultural project of the Musée GRATALOUP aims to introduce visitors to GRATALOUP’s work in all the diversity of his artistic practice — paintings, works on paper, objects, installations and works created for public spaces — while fostering a dialogue with contemporary art.
A NEW EXHIBITION, A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Each season, the Museum presents a new exhibition built around a theme drawn from GRATALOUP’s work.
Through a renewed selection of works, each exhibition explores different periods and dimensions of his artistic practice.
For every exhibition, a contemporary artist is invited to enter into dialogue with GRATALOUP’s work around the chosen theme, creating connections between two distinct artistic worlds
A SENSORY AND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Mediation is an integral part of the cultural project. A scenography specially designed for each exhibition accompanies the works and offers different ways of experiencing them.
Bilingual podcasts for adults and children, videos, sound creations, digital features and sound-and-light installations enrich the visitor experience, inviting everyone to look, listen and engage with the works through their own sensibility.
A MUSEUM OPEN TO EVERYONE
The Museum also develops cultural and educational programmes accessible to a wide range of audiences: talks, encounters, workshops, events and mediation activities accompany the exhibitions throughout each season.
Individual visitors, families, children, school groups, teachers, organised groups, associations and people with disabilities can all benefit from adapted visitor experiences and forms of mediation.
Through this cultural project, the Musée GRATALOUP pursues a clear ambition: to raise awareness of GRATALOUP’s work, create dialogues with contemporary art, and enable as many people as possible to experience a personal encounter with art.
